NATURE SPEAKS OF HIS SECOND COMING
Before uttering his holy law to Israel, nature preceded to talk to
Israelites that The Almighty God was on his way to Sinai. Lightning and
horrible thunders echoed and re-echoed in surrounding heights then
the whole mountain trembled as He descended on the mountain Sinai
to proclaim his Holy law(Exodus 19:16 ). The whole Israelites
congregation was in fear and terror pulling their minds towards the
One who had redeemed them from bondage of Egypt. Just before
declaring his holy precepts there was solemn silence, every thunder
and lightning ceased. .This remind us that Creator of nature rule over
his creation and use it to fulfill his holy purpose for salvation of
humanity.
According to book of mat.24, Jesus said prior to his coming several
horrible events will occur Which many of them have already happened
and some continue happening so far his second appearing in clouds of
heaven. These are famine, war and rumors of war, family separation
consequence of coldness of love, betray among brethren, hunger,
earthquakes. Spirit of prophets mention volcanic eruptions, and
innumerable terrible environmental hazards.
Let us delve in the book patriarchs and Kings the writer says” Volcanic
eruptions follow; and these often failing to give sufficient vent to the
heated elements, the earth itself is convulsed, the ground heaves and
swells like the waves of the sea, great fissures appear, and sometimes
cities, villages, and burning mountains are swallowed up.
These wonderful manifestations will be more and more frequent and terrible
just before the second coming of Christ and the end of the world, as
signs of its speedy destruction.” PP 108.2
The underground is Lord's arsenal, hidden weapons for final destruction
of the earth . Earth's nature disturbances were meant to warn its
inhabitants of the Coming of Its creator, setting us attentive to prepare
for our Lord. Joel 3:16 say "The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and
utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall
shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of
the children of Israel.".
Nevertheless, nature speaks of Jesus coming in a way that can be
horrible, dreadful and dangerous to us or our fellow brethren, we
should continue to make our refuge to God of nature. Because He has
prepared mansions for a us in New Jerusalem where we will rest from
all natural calamities, pain and loss of our beloved ones. He who shall
endure to the end shall be saved. Today nature continue talking to us in
uncountable ways about his very Glorious second advent to deliver his
people from troubles of this world. When we hear earthquakes here
and afar volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, tsunamis and so forth draw us
near to Him. Remember these events were permitted, not to
discourage us but to bring us closer to our God now than ever before.
May God help us to hear and discern his calling to repentance and
standing firm in faith in all calamities that occur around us because the
whole earth is our book of lesson Ameen!
