The apostle Paul in his second letter to the Thessalonians urges them not to be alarmed by the rumors and distortions that are going on regarding the second coming of Jesus Christ.
The second coming of Jesus is a universal event and not a particular part of the world, Jesus said, "For as lightning from the east is seen even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man" (Matthew 24:27).
The prophet Daniel was given an explanation of the coming of the kingdom of God in the interpretation of the image of King Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel 2 tells of the dream of the king of Babylon, the dream of a great idol made of the following minerals, gold on the head, silver in the chest and arms, bronze at the waist, iron at the feet and finally half iron and clay in the footprints of the statue.
In verses 43 and 44 of the second chapter of the book of Daniel, GOD told Daniel that he would establish his kingdom at the time of the end of the reign of '... part of the iron and part of clay..." This is mentioned in verse 42 of Daniel chapter 2.
The dominion of half iron and half clay mentioned in Daniel 2:42 refers to what authority or what authorities in the world does it have? The answer is found in the history of the various regimes that ruled the world beginning in the reign of Babylon.
The head of gold was the reign of Babylon from 606-539 B.C.
The chest and arms of silver were the dominions of the mediary and persia that lasted from 539-331 B.C.
The belly and thighs of brass was a Greek dynasty that lasted from 331-168 B.C.
Legs of iron was a Roman rule that lasted from 168 B.C. to 467 B.C.
Feet and toes of image were of iron and clay, this was the rule of divided Rome that lasted from 476 B.C. to the present day.
It was in the reign of the ten nations of Europe that the dominion of the little horn (read Daniel 7:24-27) arose and at the height of its pride, its dominion would be brought down, and finally the kingdom of God would stand.
“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent”.
