FAITH ADDICTED WOMAN (Based on Luke 8 :43-48)

Story of a woman who was bleeding for 12 years. She sought for healing all those years and nowhere did she find her miracle.

Listen, you might also be in the same position, of seeking a way out of your situation, I want to encourage you that you should never stop, never give up. This woman used her wealth little by little everyday seeking for her miracle, she kept trying, kept looking, Doctor Luke writes that, she spent all her living upon physicians, and she kept looking, kept hoping.

How long have you been in that situation, probably more years than her number? Probably, your years of joy are nothing compared to your years of tribulation. KEEP THE FAITH.

Her time for visitation finally comes, but yet it required her to have FAITH to try. Listen, sometimes your blessings will require your faith to stand and try again. She was meeting a new physician; she had never given up. She was addicted to always trying, to always hope and today she is going to try the Master of the Universe.

She is saying, I am not worthy to stop this physician, I am not worthy even to call His name, I don’t have even money to pay for the service, yet this faith-addicted woman denied all the reasons why she can’t reach out her luck and she believes one reason, that at least I can touch this man’s garments. I hear she is saying, “I am going to touch his garments, and I will be fine.” She is starting to move courageously. I am trying to figure out, probably even while she was moving, she was bleeding, probably, she has just rose from cleaning herself up, but she looks forward towards her miracle.

On the move in the crowd, she is a woman, loosing blood, she must be weak, she is pushed, her vision disrupted at times, but she keeps moving. She has a very unique agenda that no one in the crowd had.

Here she sees the master’s garments just right ahead of her, and she stretches her hand out, she touches just the border of the healer’s garment. Ooh! No, she seems not to believe it, she feels like she is reborn, she is healed completely.

The master says someone has touched me!

Listen, it was only CHRIST and the woman that were communicating at that moment.
Only the two had an issue with a touch that had just happened.

If the woman would question, she would also probably ask,” Whom have I touched?” and the question would still be weird as it came from JESUS.

I love how JESUS calls this woman. After the woman showing herself before the people and actually, JESUS knew who touched her, HE probably wanted the public to learn something from her courage.

JESUS approaches this woman and calls her, “daughter,” wow! You know JESUS was probably younger than the woman or if he was older, he wouldn’t suffice to have a 12 plus year old child. It was the divine person of JESUS that was in action, this woman is astonished, all the previous physicians, would call her, “patient,” “lady with chronic illness.” She meets a very different physician who calls her, “daughter.”

Listen, when the world perceives you as a failure, as hopeless, whatever they may name you, GOD knows one thing that you are his beloved Child.

The faith- addicted woman lived the rest of her life peacefully.
