The Mystery of Baptism: Learn its True Significance

I remember well the day of my baptism. Its memories were unforgettable and wonderful.

On that particular day, songs of praise were heartily sung from every one who attended the occasion and the melody could penetrate to the deepest part of my heart. I was filled with peace and joy on that day, simply because I knew “A New life “ was about to begin soon that day, following Baptism.

We had taken an oath to accept Jesus as our personal savior and redeemer, we then promised before the congregation of other Christian that we would be ambassadors of Christ for the rest of our life. Wonderful expectations filled our hearts.
If God had come, we might have gone to heaven on that day.

Pastor Salea  entered the water and baptism begun, I was the next!. I boldly entered the water, He uttered a very special prayer as he baptized me. I felt something very special, peace and joy overflowed me. I do remember this transition experience despite the number of years since then.
You remember the day of your baptism too, don’t you? . You can tell us about it; that feeling and experience, can’t you?

I want to share something important with you soon, kindly pay closer attention now..

Well, after baptism a new life begins.
At this point, you have accepted Jesus to dwell in your heart. You are “In Christ” and He is in you. In simple terms you are “A NEW CREATION “.
You are now different from the person you used to be, think of any worst part of your past; It is gone!!.God has taken hold of you, He guides you in everything at every moment. Is that not wonderful? Exactly, It is.

Being a new Creation means nothing less than regaining the image of God that was lost since sin had befallen the human family. You now have the full power that was given to man since creation. You are capable of having a Godly mind, character and personality. You are a recipient of all blessings from God.

When your life conforms to Godly standards, everything that your hand finds to do will be successful! Your life will be a success. Happiness and joy will overflow in you!

I remind you now, baptism is a public manifestation that God reigns in you!
You are a new creation, your past is gone and all things are new!

Your life might have been a mess since you were baptized, sin might have held you bound since then! Everything might have not worked. I don’t want to remind about all those pains and failure you passed through! I rekindle a new hope in you now, you can make it up with God and begin a new life again.

The life of hope,love,joy,happiness and all positive expectations you can imagine awaits you! The life of peace and salvation.

The life in which you don’t fight hardest battles alone! God does it.  All you can do is to rejoice, sing and praise Him, “The master of the winds”.

To wind up...
 Make a bold decision to become what you were destined to be!. Become a real Christian today.. transform your life as you behold Him. Promise yourself to repent and reconcile with your God and begin an entirely new lovely journey.

Great as is the shame and degradation through sin, even greater will be the honor and exaltation through redeeming love. To human beings striving for conformity to the divine image there is imparted an outlay of heaven's treasure, an excellency of power, that will place them higher than even the angels who have never fallen.{COL 162.4}
